On April 22, I heard of the news that broke my heart of a soul losing his fight to live.
I know that God put this young man in my path at the right moment of my life.
There are some people that you feel God’s peaceful presence and He was one of them.
He was a big promoter of the power of God’s Mercy and I know that he believes it for himself yet the pains and darkness of one can bring the light to a dim.
But there is Still Hope. God’s mercy is greater than any sin.
Jesus tells St. Faustina:
Pray as much as you can for the dying. By your entreaties, obtain for them trust in My mercy, because they have most need of trust, and have it the least. Be assured that the grace of eternal salvation for certain souls in their final moment depends on your prayer. You know the whole abyss of My mercy, so draw upon it for yourself and especially for poor sinners. Sooner would heaven and earth turn into nothingness than would My mercy not embrace a trusting soul(Diary, 1777).
We can’t lose hope for those who lost their lives to suicide. We must believe and pray for God’s mercy.
We must spread the message of mercy for all.
Marc worked for the beautiful order of priests called the Marian Fathers who protect and promote the words of St. Faustina and Divine Mercy.
Our loss is devastating. He was one of those people who seemed to befriend the world, to offer a smile, love, and good humor to all around them. He was consistently gentle with those who needed gentleness, and could banter and tease with the best of them when confronted with folk of thicker hides and more cutting wit. You all saw his humor, his smile, and his faith in theDiscovering the Diaryvideos, read hisweekly meditationson the Sunday Scriptures, encountered fellow Marian Helpers inMarian Helpermagazine, and were blessed by Marc’s devotion to the Divine Mercy and Mary Immaculate in theFriends of MercyandThirteenth of the Month Clubnewsletters. He was a Christian gentleman, a good friend, and a good colleague. He will be sorely missed.
As you can read, he did so much to help bring that merciful love towards others using words and humor and love.
Maria Cecilia: December Full Marathon Run: Dec. 12, 2021
My goal is to bring awareness of God’s mercy for those who lost their lives to suicide by sharing Marc’s story and the work of the Marian Fathers at SuicideandHope.com
Our goal is to spread this message by giving those who lost family and friends a “Marc with Hope” Care package.
Each package includes a copy of the book:
* After Suicide, *Knotted Divine Mercy Rosary, * a suicide prayer card, * pamphlet on praying the Divine Mercy, a Mass Intention with the Marian Fathers, and printed image card of No Dies Alone Divine Mercy.
I would like to be able to send at least 31 (how many years Marc lived) “Marc with Hope” care packages.
Please consider donating and please share with us the names of those who need this package in their hands.
Here is a short video that I shared about my connection with Marc and my hope for this run!
